The national online meeting for English teachers in Brazil
Connecting Brazil and the United Kingdom for equity and quality in english language teaching in schools
From September 23 to 28, 2024, the British Council promotes the third edition of ELT Week Brazil. Teachers from all over the country will be able to take part in a series of free, online activities for continuous training in english language teaching and learning.
Following the success of previous editions, which attracted around 40,000 views in 2022 and more than 100,000 teachers in 2023, this year's event brings new features. Our sessions have been designed based on research carried out with teachers from all over Brazil and include:
- Lectures on diversity and inclusion in english language teaching and learning
- Discussions on the use of Artificial Intelligence in english language teaching
- Presentation of the research: "Being a teacher with a disability: perspectives, practices, and opportunities"
- Mini course: Developing Inclusive Classrooms based on the british system of school leadership training
- Mini course: Teaching for Success – Understanding student motivation
The virtual sessions will be offered at different times to suit the teachers.
In all, 30 hours of training are offered with the right to a certificate for teachers and 4 hours for school managers. The sessions in english will be broadcast in portuguese, with subtitles or simultaneous translation, and all will be translated into libras.
