The objective of the Women in Science: UK-Brazil Gender Equality Partnerships Call is to influence the development of institutional policies and practices which will enable progress towards achieving gender equality in science, technology, higher education and research institutions in Brazil.
The call aims at building capacities within Brazilian institutions through partnerships with British institutions recipients of Athena Swan Charter awards, a framework that is used across the globe to support and transform gender equality within higher education (HE) and research. The call will fund five British institutions and each of them will work with two Brazilian institutions that will benefit from the UK’s expertise in gender equality.
Results
Due to the excellent quality of proposals received, and with the aim of fostering gender equality in Brazilian institutions, nine proposals were selected bringing four additional project to this call. The selected projects are:
